“I find with all things in life, my capacity to read has ebbed and flowed, but I continue to read. When I am struggling to understand and absorb the material, I try to slow down and I simply tell the Lord, ‘I'm here and I'm reading to gain You. Even If I don't understand it all, I just want to absorb you and trust You for the supply and understanding of whatever I need.’ When my kids interrupt, I gently remind them, ‘Is this an emergency? No. Then it can wait until I'm done. This is my Bible reading time, remember?’”
